One of the most revolutionary aspects of Evolution: Battle for Utopia is that while most of the game is played from the isometric angle that is traditional to strategy games, engaging in battle triggers a more RPG-like angle that offers spectacular polygon graphics.

During the battles, players have to reload their weapons using the classic dynamic reload system, throw grenades to take out their enemies, or use first-aid kits when necessary.

In the general map view, you can construct buildings to develop your colony, gather resources, interact with other characters and much more.
